Daily Advent Reflections
Check back weekly during Advent for ideas on participating in Advent.
Dec. 10: Second Sunday of Advent
Light the first and second purple candles on your Advent wreath to participate this week in the Lenten liturgical season.

Monday, Dec. 11: Advent is a time of faith renewal. Reflect on how to continue participating in Advent through charity, penitence, prayer.

Tuesday, Dec. 12: There are many ways to be charitable during Advent. Which charitable activities will you participate in this week (donating to charity, purchasing Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children, etc.)?

Wednesday, Dec. 13: Charitable gift planning. Be sure to follow up on charitable giving by specified deadlines so gifts can be distributed in time for Christmas.

Thursday, Dec. 14 Holiday visitations. Visiting people who are homebound, hospitalized, or otherwise limited is a meaningful way to be caring.

Friday, Dec. 15: Christmas-related volunteerism is great! Churches and community organizations announce holiday-related activities for which volunteers are needed. Look for ways to volunteer in your community.

Saturday, Dec. 16: Christmas-related social engagement is great! Are there Advent/Christmas social events at your church and/or community over the holidays? A great way to connect with people and to be community-minded.
