“We are not saints.”
Too often, a life lived far from saintliness leads us to the statement, “We are not saints.”
Yet, there’s another path, though, shifting onto another path: “We are not saints. Yet.“
We can all shift gears into the universal call to holiness. There actually is an existing and established “universal call to holiness.” This isn’t something we made up. For more information about this universal call to holiness, visit Lumen Gentium (scroll to Chapter 5). All of us are called to be – become – “saints in training.”
The fact that you are reading this blog post means that it’s not too late to join the “saints in training” club (i.e., you are still breathing). Start where you are. Don’t think it’s not possible to “join the club.” Depending on where you are, moving along this saints-in-training path happens “sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly.”
Start where you are and join us in becoming saints in training.
